Hi Everyone!
Today I had a very special guest join me for a workout: my brother-in-law, Josh. We did a full body workout, and he finished with 20 minutes on the treadmill of running and walking. The workout video is below, and is the second workout I have created for Josh.
Below, is a quick interview with Josh, talking about his goals, and what he would like to achieve with his workouts. I love the goals that he set, and I know that he will be able to achieve them.
I am really excited to be a part of Josh's Fitness Transformation, and I'm glad he is willing to share it with everyone here. :)
I hope you all enjoy the workout, and thanks for giving Josh support to achieve his goals!

Way to go Josh! So happy to see this new transformation series from Melissa.
ReplyDeleteThere will be a new workout tomorrow!
DeleteYou inspire me to not give up which is something I struggle with daily. Do you ever offer nutrition advice? I've cleaned up my diet but am frustrated by my lack of progress. I don't know what I should be doing differently to lose the last 10-20 lbs. I know my diet is to blame. Any suggestions?
ReplyDeleteWhat is your diet like right now? I am going to be posting more about nutrition. Also, I am on myfitnesspal.com user name BenderFitness. I don't always log my food, but I have been pretty consistent lately. :)
DeleteThis is so great Melissa! I love your idea of helping a family member and sharing it with us as well.
ReplyDeleteThis is way better than The Biggest Loser because it's so real. And the fact that you are sharing the workouts with us means that we can try them to. I'll be honest with you, I am more willing to try a workout that you've planned with Josh in mind than some of the harder ones that you do with such perfect form. Watching him hold his hips too high and making minor form mistakes makes me realize that the majority of us probably do not look as fabulous as you when we are doing these exercises. I am writing this workout down and taking it to the gym with me tomorrow.
I'll be tuning in to follow Josh's progress. I also hope to make some strides myself to better fitness in the coming months. Thanks again!!
Hi Sandy,
DeleteThank you for the support. I think Josh is going to make amazing progress. He will be back for another workout tomorrow. I think it takes a lot of courage to share your journey, and I am glad that he is able to help inspire you. Keep working toward your goals and you will achieve them all. :)

I just found your website. This is a great series. Your brother-in-law looks just like me (essentially). If he can do it then I have hope. Seeing a regular guy doing it has given me that final push of inspiration to do it myself. I'm on my way now thanks to you and Josh. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome! Please let us know how it goes along the way! :)
DeleteI am so inspired, thanks for sharing and go Josh.
ReplyDeleteI hope you try one of these workouts!
DeleteI did this 3 rounds x 10 and the booty bump 2 rounds x 10 and a 6 minute jump rope warm-up. dripping, and BTW my abs are still sore from yesterday :)
ReplyDeleteI can do a lot of sit-ups, but this workout really got my obliques. Just what I needed. Thank you a lot Melissa!
ReplyDeleteHi Melissa! I have been working out straight for about a year now and have made good progress. Was running out of ideas for workout and frankly getting a little unmotivated. So I turned to YouTube and I found you! I recruited a friend and the 2 of us have been doing your workouts for 2 weeks and we both are already seeing improvements :) thanks for the great workouts and the additional inspiration I needed. I had been doing all of my workout is our home gym and was just about to get a membership before I started your workouts. They are challenging and heard toward a lean fit female body. Always my goal!
